Guru Peyarchi Homam at our Temple

We are delighted to inform you that our temple has made special arrangements to celebrate Guru Peyarchi (transition of Planet Jupiter) on 06th December, 2008. Of all the Navagraha transitions, three have greater impact and consequences on us - they are Guru, Sani & Raaghu-Kuthu. While Sani transition elicits fear, Guru transition elicits hope and lot of expectations. Guru Bhagavan (also known as Brahaspathi) transits from Dhanur Rāsi (Sagitarius) to Makara Rāsi (Capricorn) where He will stay for the next one year. Those born under Rishabham, Katakam, Mesham, Mithunam and Simmam can mitigate the negative effects by prayers to Guru Bhagawān. A special Homam will begin at 8:00 AM followed by Abhishekam and Pujā for Guru Bhagawān and Sri Dhakshināmurthy. Contribution for the Homam is fixed at C$ 51.00. We cordially request everyone to participate in the Guru Peyarchi Homam & Abhishekam and partake the blessings of Guru Bhagawān and Sri Medhā Dakshināmurthy.
